FIRST LADY DAPHNE DUNN
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7
First Lady Daphne Dunn is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the wife of Senior Pastor, Richard P. Dunn II and the daughter of Spencer and Betty Harkness. She is the proud mother of two Sons; Richard P. Dunn III (La Quanecia) and Brandon Dunn and grandmother to, Londyn Nicole Dunn. She has too many Godchildren to count. She is the biological sister to one brother and two sisters.
At the age of eighteen, First Lady Dunn gave her life to Christ. She credits Reverend J. Allen Milner, pastor of Chapel of Christian Love Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, with being a catalyst for her spiritual growth and development. As her pastor, he took her under his wings and allowed her to see him walk the walk of servitude. His works spoke for him.
There have been challenges in her life, but she has victoriously overcome them by trusting in God’s Word. She believes if it’s in God’s Word, God will fulfill His Word. She is still standing on His Word. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4: 6-9, because the more she studies it, the more God makes it real in her life. Her favorite gospel song is ‘Lord, I Lift Your Name on High’. Her advice for young women is “Put God at the center of your relationship. You must lean and depend on God for guidance.”
In addition to that, First Lady Daphne has over a decade as an Educator in The Miami-Dade County Public School System and over a decade as an Accountant in The Miami-Dade County's Clerk of Courts office. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from F.I.U. and her Master's Degree from Nova Southeastern University. She sings in the choir, works with the youth and is Director of Women of Divine Faith at Faith Community Baptist Church. She has been married for over 27 years to Pastor Richard P. Dunn II.
