FEEDING MINISTRY
Deaconess Mitty S. Coleman serves as this Ministry’s Leader. The Faith Community Baptist, “Clara J. Porter” Feeding Ministry for over five years.
It is our desire to give hope to the homeless and hungry in the surrounding community by giving them the nourishment they need to make it through another day. We are also helping individuals and family by first sharing God’s Good News through scripture, testimony, and prayer to facilitate hope, encouragement, and empowerment. Lives are being saved by a simple meal served with love and changed by the Word of God.
We know it is our obligation, and consider it a privilege, to step in and provide nourishing meals. It is one of the most necessities of life, yet many do not have access to simple things like rice and beans. We believe that our Feeding Ministry is a wonderful and an effective way to serve and connect with our community.
BLESSED FOOD FOR THE BODY, SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR THE SOUL.
Three-fold focus: MIND ~ BODY ~ SOUL
“He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, you know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.”” John 21:17 NKJV
Our mission:
to model the love and compassion of Jesus Christ by providing food to the hungry, homeless and needy.
Our Vision:
We envision a community in which everyone has access to sufficient nutritious food.
