Director of Christian Education
Deacon Dwight D. Coleman, appointed Director of Christian Education of Faith Community Baptist Church by the Senior Pastor, Richard P. Dunn, II. He will lead all Christian Education Programs.
He has a Bachelor of Arts in English for Secondary Education with a Minor in Criminal Justice and Child Care, Tennessee State University (TSU), and a Certification in Theology, Interdenominational Theological Center, (ITC) Atlanta, Georgia.
He has additional experience in program and leadership development. He can work with people and coordinate ministries and programs within the church that involve all aspects of Christian Education.
He has strong oral and written communication skills, including active listening. He is a strong and mature Christian. He has a strong background in education and working with children and youth. He has considerable administrative skills and is a “team” player.
Deacon Coleman will supervise and administer the entire educational program of the church, coordinating the education work of the church, including Sunday School and Sunday School teachers, training and recruiting Sunday School teachers; choosing and ordering all Sunday School material, educational levels and background of the children and youth, seeking curricular instructional materials to meet their needs including Vacation Bible School (VBS). Also, Special Programs such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, Easter Program, Palm Sunday, Black History Month Emphases; Christmas Program; Sunday School Picnic and Veteran Holiday. Deacon Coleman is under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, Richard P. Dunn, II.

The goal of all Christian Education is to provide an environment where people will experience the presence of the Triune God through worship, studying the Bible through reformed Christian teaching, the fellowship of believers and serving others in and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

All ministers, deacons and church leaders and teachers are encouraged to faithfully spend regular time in spiritual practices; prayer, Worship, Sunday School, Bible study, tithing and serving.
